Take Action

Join with AANA to reform regulations that prohibit CRNAs from practicing at the full scope of their education, training, experience and licensure.

In March 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recognized the vital role that CRNAs and other advanced practice registered nurses are playing in the fight against COVID-19 by temporarily removing physician supervision requirements under the Medicare Part A Conditions of Participation.

The AANA has been working diligently with the U.S. Congress, Administration, and other stakeholders to make this long-overdue policy permanent, but we need your help! Ask your legislators to contact CMS to request that the physician supervision be removed in future CMS rulemaking today.
